Yes, prescription medications require a valid prescription from a licensed Canadian veterinarian. These products are marked with a “Prescription Required” symbol on their product pages. We accept original prescriptions mailed to us or copies sent directly from your veterinarian via fax.

Your veterinarian can fax the prescription to us at 416-423-7224 or email it to info@vetmeds.ca. Please ensure they include all necessary details, such as patient and owner details, medication name, dosage, instructions for use, and their contact information.

The price for a veterinary prescription depends on the specific medication and the quantity prescribed. The prices on the vetmeds.ca website do not include a dispensing fee, delivery fees, or taxes.

We cannot only accept photocopies, scans, or pictures of prescriptions submitted by customers. In order to get the process started, you can email us a copy of your prescription (please be aware that email is not secure and your privacy may be at risk). An original prescription (written or verbal from the prescriber) is ultimately required.

Shipping costs depend on the size of your order and its destination. All orders include a tracking number, and shipping options and costs are displayed during checkout.
